Cambodia Midas Workshop - Training
The MIDAS interface is a web-based and interactive environment that helps users visualize data gathered from many sources around system function, threats, & ecosystem services. Further development progress on MIDAS will include impact assessment visualizations to assist in understanding the ecosystem-wide consequences of different development decisions. One of South Florida’s most valuable natural resources is the Biscayne Bay and its associated coastal habitats. The project is composed of three segments, each associated with a particular habitat and problem in need of solving, a proposed intervention specific to this project, and a set of outreach components. Taken together, they address the natural-social ecological landscape of South Florida.
Rapid urbanization and associated coastal development, including fishing and recreation, continues to impact the natural habitats in the South Florida & Biscayne Bay areas.
